I just came across this Archaeo-Geo micromapping project I did back in the mid nineties while on a weekend volunteer dig in southern Texas (~45 miles west of Houston). If I recall correctly, the Texas Archaeological Society ended up using this in community advocacy material. I do definitely recall (...can't forget) the 100 degree heat by 10AM!
